Workspace Settings & Account
Your center's identity and your personal preferences — simple, clear, and all in one place.
No Maze, No Confusion
Every new tool comes with the same anxiety: "Where do I change my center's name? How do I update my password? Where is the currency setting?" You click through menus, open random pages, and eventually give up or ask a colleague for help. Some systems bury their settings so deep that you need a tutorial just to change your email address.
Centerly keeps configuration simple and intuitive. There are two settings areas, and they're both exactly where you'd expect them: Workspace Settings for anything about your center as an organization, and Account Settings for anything about you personally. That's it. No maze of menus, no hidden panels, no settings buried three levels deep behind obscure icons.
Workspace Settings — Your Center's Identity
Workspace settings control how your center appears across the entire system — to your team, to parents and students, on PDF receipts, and on your public profile. Here's what you can configure:
- Display Name — The name that appears everywhere: on your dashboard, in notifications, on invoices and receipts, and on your public profile. This is how the world knows your center.
- Legal Name — Your center's official registered name, used for formal documents, receipts, and any situation where the legal entity name matters.
- Motto — A tagline or slogan that captures what your center is about. It appears on your public profile and sets the tone for how parents perceive you.
- City and Country — Where your center is based. This information appears across the system and helps parents find you.
- Currency — The default currency for all invoices, payments, and financial reports. For Egyptian centers, this is typically set to EGP.
- Support Email — The contact email that appears on receipts, the public profile, and system communications.
These settings are typically configured once during your initial setup and occasionally updated if your center rebrands, moves, or expands. Any change you make takes effect immediately across the entire system — every receipt, every report, every page updates to reflect the new information.
Account Settings — Your Personal Preferences
Account settings are about you — the person using the system — not about the center itself. These preferences are personal to your login and don't affect anyone else on your team.
- Name — Your display name, shown in activity logs, notification history, and visible to other team members who share the workspace.
- Email — The email address associated with your account, used for login and any account-related communications.
- Phone — Your contact phone number.
- Language — Choose between English and Arabic. The entire interface switches to your preferred language, including full right-to-left layout support for Arabic speakers.
Each team member configures their own account settings independently. If your branch manager prefers Arabic and your accountant prefers English, they each set their own preference. Everyone gets the experience that works best for them, without affecting anyone else.
Password and Security
Changing your password is straightforward and takes about ten seconds. Navigate to Settings, enter your current password for verification, then enter and confirm your new password. The change takes effect immediately.
Security matters, especially when your system contains student information, financial records, and contact details for hundreds of families. Your password is securely encrypted — it's never stored as readable text and cannot be seen by anyone, including our team.
For center owners managing teams, it's worth noting that each staff member has their own separate account with their own password. There's no shared login and no "one password for the whole center." This means you always know who did what — every action in the system is tied to a specific person, creating a clear audit trail for your center's operations. If a payment was recorded, you know who recorded it. If a student was enrolled, you know who added them. That accountability makes your center more secure and more professionally managed.
