Here's what happens: you are the instructor. The system knows that. It creates one branch automatically (you don't even have to think about it), sets you up as the instructor, and takes you straight to what matters — your students, your courses, your groups, and your payments.

The dashboard is simplified to show only the metrics that matter to a solo teacher: how many students you have, your attendance rate, your upcoming sessions, and your revenue. No roll-up KPIs across multiple branches. No team workload charts. Just your numbers, clean and clear.

The navigation is cleaner too. You won't see team management, branch switching, or role assignment menus — because you don't need them. Every screen is designed around the assumption that there's one educator managing everything, and it shows only what's relevant to that workflow.

The Solo Mode onboarding is the fastest way to get started with Centerly. Instead of the full 8-step wizard that centers go through, you get a streamlined 4-step setup:

1. Profile — Your name and city. That's it. The system creates your branch and instructor record from this.

2. Course — What do you teach? English? Math? Quran memorization? Create your first course with a title and level.

3. Group — Create your first class group. Give it a name (like "Saturday Morning Group"), set the schedule, and choose a capacity.

4. Students — Add your students. You can type names in a free-text field, separated by commas — no spreadsheet formatting required. Or if you have a spreadsheet ready, you can import it.

That's the entire setup. Most solo teachers complete it in under 2 minutes. After that, you're ready to start using QR attendance, tracking payments, and giving your students portal access.

Compare that to the old way: downloading an app, watching tutorial videos, setting up branches you don't need, creating team roles you'll never use, and spending an hour configuring something that should have taken five minutes. Solo Mode respects your time.

As a solo teacher, you might bill your students differently than a center does. Maybe you charge per session — each time a student attends, that's one session fee. Or maybe you charge a flat monthly rate regardless of how many sessions they attend. Centerly supports both.

Per-session billing — Every attended session generates an invoice for that student. If your rate is EGP 100 per session and a student attended 8 sessions this month, they owe EGP 800. The system tracks this automatically based on attendance records, so you don't have to count sessions manually. Invoices are due within 7 days by default.

Per-month billing — A single monthly invoice for each student, regardless of how many sessions they attended. You set the monthly rate, and the system generates invoices at the beginning of each billing period. Due within 30 days by default.

You choose your billing model in Settings, and you can switch between them anytime. The payment screens, invoices, and even the student portal adapt to whichever model you're using — so your students always see clear, accurate billing information.

This flexibility is important because different teaching arrangements work differently. A music teacher who sees students once a week might prefer per-session billing. A language tutor who runs structured courses might prefer monthly. Centerly doesn't force you into one model.

The Students Hub is simplified. You manage your roster without worrying about branch assignment (there's only one) or multi-instructor visibility. Add students, link parents, share portal credentials via WhatsApp — it's all streamlined.

The Groups section lets you manage your classes directly. Create a group, set the schedule, assign students, and you're ready to teach. You don't need to navigate through courses and sub-groups — though courses are still available if you want that level of organization.

The Payments section is aware of your billing model. If you're on per-session billing, it shows you session-based invoices linked to attendance. If you're on per-month billing, it shows monthly invoices. Either way, you can see who's paid, who hasn't, and how much is outstanding.

The Dashboard shows you your essential metrics: total students, attendance rate, this month's revenue, and upcoming sessions. It's a quick snapshot that answers the question every solo teacher asks themselves: "How's my teaching practice doing?"
